Few days back I was reading an article on sans serif(blog) regarding the usages of newspaper, and basically how it wouldn't be completely replaced by the New media. It had pictures of newspapers being used for various purposes ranging from protecting oneself from the scorching sun to wrapping fish and tiffin. This was really sarcastic of them and they had their purposes. There has been a current uproar that the people in print media are going to lose their jobs sooner or later. This is true to an extent because such is the situation in the west where newspapers are battling hard to cope up with the increasing usage of the internet to seek news.Newspapers there are coming up with packages to increase their sales. They are making it more presentable by info-graphics and picturesqueness and are competing with the internet in the process.
However this is not the case in India. India has only 4.53961% of population (Source: World Bank, World Development Indicators) having access to internet. This case of surfing the net for news is not plausible in India. Therefore newspapers are the only option accessible to the beaming population who are news-hungry.Thus newspapers will stay and stay forever.
Khub Valo. Best of LUCK. Egiye ja. Pase sobsomoy achi.....
